Two-Column Resume Template
The Two-Column Resume Template fits more information on a single page than a single-column layout without feeling crammed. A narrower left sidebar holds your contact information, skills, certifications, and languages; the wider right column carries your summary, work experience, and education. This structure works particularly well for candidates with substantial skills or technical certifications that would otherwise take up too much vertical space in a traditional layout — think software engineers, technical project managers, IT specialists, and bilingual or multilingual professionals. The template uses moderate accent colors to separate the sidebar visually without making the resume look like a marketing flyer. A quick caveat on ATS compatibility: some older applicant tracking systems struggle with multi-column layouts because text extraction reads column-by-column rather than left-to-right across the page. For 2026, most major ATS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo recent versions) handle two-column resumes correctly, but if you are applying through a smaller company portal or a niche industry system, consider running your finished resume through the document text-extraction check on jobscan.co before submitting.
